We are extremely proud of our training collaboration with the prestigious Warsash Superyacht Academy. This exciting partnership offers a full range of deck courses including our very own bespoke Bridge Operation Refresher Course.
Training courses available include:
Bridge Operation Refresher
Introducing a unique on-board course exclusively available through DSNM and Warsash Superyacht Academy. The course content has been designed to allow flexibility and fluidity to ensure Master and officers can identify any weaker areas in knowledge, as well as provide training that is supportive and engaging to accommodate all levels of bridge crew. The DSNM Bridge Operation Refresher is based on extensive feedback from captains and crews around the world with the aim to help and support officers (at all levels) with the theory and practical elements that they have studied but may not always remember to put into practice. The aim is to be supportive and informative and to ensure the very latest regulations and changes are being understood and being utilized effectively. The programme creates a logical link between the theory and practical elements and the real world environment of the day to day bridge whilst improving knowledge and enhancing skills of crew and promoting the very latest principles in maritime best practice.
ECDIS Risk Assessment
ECDIS Risk Assessments need to be simple, practical and meaningful, however, fast changing technology and regulatory environments mean the quality of assessments can vary significantly. The requirement to submit a formal Risk Assessment to a vessels Flag State when navigating primarily on an ECDIS no longer exists, however MGN 285 strongly recommends a Risk Assessment is conducted. With this in mind, DSNM & Warsash Superyacht Academy brings its 70 year experience and deep regulatory understanding to support Captains and crews with world class Superyacht ECDIS Risk Assessments. Our aim is to pro-actively get under the skin of yacht specific ECDIS challenges, whilst identifying and delivering practical, future proof solutions.
Fire Fighting Command and Control
Our bespoke Fire Fighting Command and Control course utilises table top scenarios of fire incidents to improve both the technical and non-technical skills associated with managing an incident. This is carried out using yacht specific plans and is essentially a mix of theory and practical exercises which are pre planned for the yacht and based on incidents to reflect specific training outcomes. Warsash Superyacht Academy are at the forefront of Fire Fighting training and the highly experienced team from Warsash would look to spend a significant period of time with the Captain discussing the proposed Fire Fighting scenarios and any customisations required to ensure exceptional training and results for the yacht and crew.
