TRAINING
We are extremely proud to have partnered with some of the most highly respected individuals within the industry to offer the very best training courses.

Bridge Refresher Course
Carried out by our in-house Master Mariners, the Bridge Refresher Course is designed for a variety of situations. It can be for active yachts who want to brush up on skills, boats that have been in the yard for extended periods, or new-builds during the last stages of the build to refresh skills that may not have been actively used for long periods.
The course is open and available to all crew members; however, it is tailored more to Masters, Officers and Navigation or bridge team members.
With this course, your knowledge will be enhanced or refreshed on all things ECDIS and the use of bridge equipment.

E-Learning
Whitehorse Maritime Academy is the UK’s leading provider of MCA Oral exam prep, and dsnm has partnered with them to offer their best-in-class resources for crew training, across their fleet. Their engaging eLearning platform is designed to support knowledge development and prevent skill fade.
These courses are ideal for anyone in the bridge team, including captains and officers who have spent an extended period ashore, and any crew looking to progress their career in yachting.
The courses can be completed from anywhere and at the crew member’s leisure, on-board or off, with NO time restriction.
The Courses: Colregs, Bridge Equipment, Buoyage, Meteorology, Environmental Regulations, Navigation & Passage planning, GMDSS, Safety & International Safety Management, Business & Law, and Survey & Certification.

ECDIS Risk Assessment
ECDIS Risk Assessments need to be simple, practical and meaningful; however, fast-changing technology and regulatory environments mean the quality of assessments can vary significantly. The requirement to submit a formal Risk Assessment to a vessel’s Flag State when navigating primarily on an ECDIS no longer exists; nevertheless, MGN 285 strongly recommends a Risk Assessment is conducted.
dsnm and Master Mariner George Mills use their experience and deep regulatory understanding to support Captains and crews with world-class Superyacht ECDIS Risk Assessments. We aim to proactively get under the skin of yacht-specific ECDIS challenges whilst identifying and delivering practical, future-proof solutions.
With this course, your knowledge will be enhanced or refreshed on all things ECDIS and the use of bridge equipment.
