Chart coverage within Compass is provided by i4 Insight C-Map Professional+. This highly-regarded, unofficial chart layer provides up-to-date navigational data to assist in your passage preparation.
dsnm provides access to a variety of digital charts for official and unofficial use; however a Compass subscription offers full access to an unofficial chart layer provided by i4 Insight (C-Map Professional+) completely free of charge.
This layer provides assistance to your navigation with all information sourced from official paper and digital chart data. i4 Insight facilitates the full functionality of an ECDIS and is an excellent training choice for navigators before switching from paper to ENC.
I4 Insight C-Map Professional+
Professional+ is a global vector chart database that navigators have benefited from for years in the ECDIS and ECS. The chart sources are based on official charts (both paper charts and digital charts). The charts produced by i4 Insight should only be used as navigational aid. This data, however, facilitates the full functionality of an ECDIS and is an excellent training choice for navigators before switching from paper to ENC.
Compass users receive a worldwide licence for i4 Insight C-Map Professional+ charts, which is included in their subscription.

Included in your subscription is access to our dedicated digital support team who are on-hand to navigate any onboard issues with your digital systems. dsnm are the only navigation management company in the industry to offer this support service.
